How long a fall takes to recover
Not how much you need to make back, but how many months it takes at a rate you pick yourself.

How this works
Getting back is compounding in reverse. The gain you need is fixed by how far you fell; how long it takes depends on the rate you manage after that.
A 25% fall needs a 33.3% gain. At one percent a month that is a little over 29 months — closer to two and a half years than to a quarter.
The rate is yours to choose. Put in a higher one and the months drop; that does not make the months easier to get.

What this does not say: This assumes a steady rate you picked. Nothing recovers at a steady rate, and nothing here says a fall will be recovered at all.
