Your answers are not saved to any account
Your answers sit in the address bar of the page you are on. Close the tab and they are gone. There is no account, and no answer of yours is written to a database. One exception — a line in a server log — is set out below.

Your answers are not saved here. They sit in the web address at the top of your browser, and they go when you close the tab.
Where your answers actually go
When you pick an option, your choice is added to the web address at the top of your browser. The page is then rebuilt from that address. Your answers are not written to a database, not put in a cookie, and not attached to any profile, because there is no profile.
One honest exception
Because your answers sit in the web address, that address is sent to the server so the page can be built. Web servers normally write down the addresses they are asked for. So one line in a server log can hold your answers, with no name on it, for as long as the hosting company keeps its ordinary request logs. Those lines are never turned into a record of you, never tied to an account, and nobody reads logs here to look at anyone's answers.
I would rather tell you this than say nothing is kept at all, which would not be true.
Your own browser may keep that address in its history, the same way it keeps every other page you visit. That is your browser, on your device, and you can clear it there.
No account, no login
This version of the site has no sign-up. You are never asked for a name, an email, a phone number, a PAN, a client code or a broker login. There is nothing to hand over, so nothing is held.
Cookies
The questions and the result page set no cookie of ours. We store nothing you answer in your browser. Your browser's own history may still hold the address, which contains your answers, and you can clear it there.
There is one thing we do keep, and it is the answer to the cookie question itself. When you choose at the bottom of the screen, that choice is saved in your own browser so you are not asked again on every page. It records whether analytics and advertising scripts may load. It is never sent to us as a profile, and it says nothing about your trading. You can change it any time from Cookie choices at the bottom of any page, and clearing your browser data removes it. If you say no, Google's Analytics and advertising scripts are never loaded at all, so there is nothing of theirs to set a cookie.
Analytics on public pages
If you accept analytics, Google Analytics is loaded so I can see which public pages are read, which pages people leave from, and whether the site is finding an audience. It is not loaded on a refusal, and it is not used to store your answers to the twelve questions in an account or a database here.
Advertising on the pages you read
Every page on this site except the questions and your result page can carry ads served by Google AdSense: the home page, the ten things, the F&O rules, the charges and tax maths. Google is a separate company, not us. Google and its partners may set their own cookies or similar identifiers in your browser to choose and measure those ads. That is their collection, under their own terms, and we do not see it. You can change what Google uses to pick your ads in the ad settings of your own Google account.
There are no ads on the questions and no ads on your result page. Nothing you answer is passed to any advertiser, because nothing you answer leaves the page you are on.
The law behind this page
India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. The ideas it is built on are the ones this page follows: ask for as little as possible, say plainly what happens to it, and let a person see or remove what is held about them.
On that last one: there is nothing to show you and nothing to delete, because no answer of yours is saved to an account or a database here.
How to reach me
admin@mymarketdiary.com. Two things it is for: a correction, if a figure, a date or a rule on this site is wrong; and deletion, if you have written to me by email and want that email removed. I have the emails people send me, and nothing else about you.
This is written for adults who trade
It is not meant for anyone under 18, and nothing is knowingly collected from children here.
If this changes
A later version of the site may add accounts. If that happens, this page changes before the feature does, and it will say what changed and on what date.
If a line on this page reads as vague to you, that is a fault in the writing. Tell me and I will rewrite it.
What this does not say: This is not a legal opinion on your rights, and it does not say that Google or any other third party collects nothing about you. It says that no answer of yours is saved to an account or a database here.
